Passed JNCDA-Associate and Course Update
Mar 04
Hi,
I have passed JNCDA Design Exam recently and I have to say the exam covered all standard aspects of generic design start. I have to say its not tough for anyone who dealt with basic Technical solutions document or anyone who deployed greenfield enterprise networks. The course did help, but on the whole most of it Very Generic in Nature
Coming to the course update, the course is done along with the workbook. The lab has been setup and is available for public use , am just setting up for one final review.
Thank You

Hi, Buzz, JNCDA actually does not require any lab effort. Are you referring to some other post ?

Well, I mostly use VMX for studying and now that VQFX is available, studying for Juniper Based Exams should be really easy. For most of the cases Especially for Service Provider / Routing / MPLS, its not a surprise that you can do everything on a single VMX instance which will hardly cost you 2GB of Ram and 2 VCPUS. Here are some of the links, which has High end setups and single VM Setups as well as examples.

Got your point. In your post you have mentioned the lab setup is for public use so I was concerned about that. Surely deploying VMX is on my mind. I wanted to know more about the lab setup you mentioned in your post.

I had a simple lab for every topic i studies, with as few as 2 or 3 logical-system routers and i followed Juniper official curriculum. That helped a lot

I see I am following the same building a lab for every topic I study but I haven’t take any official paid training from Juniper whatever content is available on internet and some online videos is what I am going through.

Yea that should be good, also it always a good idea to see the lab workouts for cisco ccie-sp track if you have them and understand the technicality and scenarios in technology, ultimately its the same bgp.mpls.ospf.isis we are speaking about

that’s a good point though Cisco study course is easily available than Juniper I can use them in an effective way 🙂 Thanks a lot
